How much electricity does a 10-cubic-meter variable-frequency cold storage unit consume

I. Power consumption reference for different temperature scenarios

Fresh-keeping cold storage (storage temperature 0℃-5℃)

As the scenario with the lowest load, the 10-cubic-meter inverter unit consumes approximately 4 to 6 kilowatt-hours of electricity per day on average. For instance, in small cold storage facilities used for storing fruits and vegetables, due to the relatively low refrigeration requirements, the variable frequency compressor can operate at a low speed for a long time, and the energy consumption is relatively stable. Referring to similar data, the average daily power consumption of a 15-30 cubic meter preservation warehouse is 6.5 to 10.5 kilowatt-hours. Due to its smaller volume, the energy consumption of a 10 cubic meter warehouse will be correspondingly reduced.

Refrigerated cold storage (temperature -15 ℃- 18℃)

It is commonly used for storing meat and frozen foods, with an average daily power consumption of about 6 to 8 kilowatt-hours. At this temperature, the compressor load is moderate. The frequency conversion system can flexibly adjust the speed according to the fluctuation of the warehouse temperature (for example, reduce the speed when the warehouse temperature approaches the set value), which is about 30% more energy-efficient than the fixed-frequency unit. Comparative data shows that the average daily electricity consumption of 13-25 cubic meter cold storage is 4.7 to 8.5 kilowatt-hours, and the energy consumption of a 10 cubic meter cold storage is in the middle of this range.

Low-temperature cold storage (storage temperature -20 ℃- 25℃)

It is suitable for cryogenic storage of seafood, vaccines, etc., with an average daily power consumption of about 8 to 10 kilowatt-hours. In a low-temperature environment, the compressor needs to maintain a relatively high operating intensity. Even with frequency conversion regulation, the overall energy consumption is still higher than that of a medium-temperature warehouse. Based on the data that the average daily power consumption of a 20-cubic-meter low-temperature storage is 7.6 kilowatt-hours, the 10-cubic-meter storage, due to its smaller volume but higher refrigeration load per unit volume, has slightly higher energy consumption.
